The project enhances and restores a complex dating back to the 1950s, originally intended as a school-workshop for the children of Pirelli employees. It consists of a building with classrooms and a brick factory with metal shed roofs. In the 1990s, the building underwent modifications that almost completely erased its original character. The new proposal recognizes the potential of the original structural module, which is reclaimed, updated, and reconfigured into a new layout, aligning the building with the brick structure and demolishing a portion of the connecting building. The appearance of the building is rejuvenated with the addition of a metal facade that reinterprets the partitioning and features of the existing building, achieving a new harmony and proportion between the components of the structure.
